GOODWILL BRINGS YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN EACH OF THESE AREAS TOGETHER IN THE HVRP PROGRAM TO BOLSTER HOMELESS VETERANS EFFICIENTLY AND COMPASSIONATELY AS THEY NAVIGATE THROUGH TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT, AND THE SEARCH FOR A HOME. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITY FUNDED THROUGH THE GRANT IS GOODWILLS CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICE. PROVIDED BY SIX FULL-TIME CASE MANAGERS, CASE MANAGEMENT IS CRITICAL TO EFFECTIVELY SERVING NEW MEXICOS HOMELESS VETERANS. GRANT-FUNDED IN-STATE TRAVEL IS ESSENTIAL FOR CASE MANAGERS TO PROVIDE FACE-TO-FACE SUPPORT. HUDS 2023 PIT COUNT REPORTS 103 SHELTERED AND 74 UNSHELTERED HOMELESS VETERANS IN THE NM-500 ALBUQUERQUE COC. THE SAME PIT COUNT REPORTS 13 SHELTERED AND 67 UNSHELTERED HOMELESS VETERANS IN THE NM-501 BALANCE OF STATE COC. IN ADDITION, PIT COUNTS ARE NOT CONDUCTED ON THE STATES NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES, EVEN THOUGH NEW MEXICO IS HOME TO THE 4TH HIGHEST NATIVE AMERICAN POPULATION IN THE COUNTRY. THESE ARE THE VETERANS GOODWILL WILL BENEFIT. GOODWILL PROPOSES THE FOLLOWING OUTCOMES AND OUTPUTS: 187 ANNUAL ENROLLMENTS, $16.13 AVERAGE HOURLY WAGE AT PLACEMENT, 64.2% OVERALL PLACEMENT RATE $4,342.63 COST PER PLACEMENT, 80% OF ENROLLMENTS RECEIVING TRAINING SERVICES, 45% OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS EXITED TO EMPLOYMENT WILL RETAIN THEIR UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT IN THE 2ND QUARTER AFTER EXIT, 29.9% OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS EXITED TO EMPLOYMENT WILL RETAIN THEIR UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT IN THE 4TH QUARTER AFTER EXIT, MEDIAN QUARTERLY EARNINGS OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE IN UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT IN THE 2ND QUARTER AFTER EXIT WILL AVERAGE $6,291.00, BASED ON AN AVERAGE OF 30 HOURS WEEK. THE SSVF PROGRAM'S PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES GRANTS TO PRIVATE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND CONSUMER COOPERATIVES, WHO WILL COORDINATE OR PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO VERY LOW-INCOME VETERAN FAMILIES WHO ARE RESIDING IN PERMANENT HOUSING, ARE HOMELESS AND SCHEDULED TO BECOME RESIDENTS OF PERMANENT HOUSING WITHIN A SPECIFIED TIME PERIOD; OR AFTER EXITING PERMANENT HOUSING WITHIN A SPECIFIED TIME PERIOD, ARE SEEKING OTHER HOUSING THAT IS RESPONSIVE TO SUCH VERY LOW-INCOME VETERAN FAMILY'S NEEDS AND PREFERENCES. GRANTEES WILL USE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES GRANT FUNDS TO PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE SERVICE. ALL GRANTEES ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE OUTREACH SERVICES, CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES, ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING VA BENEFITS AND ASSISTANCE IN OBTAINING AND COORDINATING OTHER PUBLIC BENEFITS. IN ADDITION TO THE REQUIRED SERVICES, GRANTEES MAY ALSO PROVIDE TEMPORARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PAID DIRECTLY TO A THIRD PARTY ON BEHALF OF A PARTICIPANT FOR CHILD CARE, EMERGENCY HOUSING ASSISTANCE, TRANSPORTATION, RENTAL ASSISTANCE, UTILITY-FEE PAYMENT ASSISTANCE, SECURITY DEPOSITS, UTILITY DEPOSITS, MOVING COSTS, AND GENERAL HOUSING STABILITY ASSISTANCE (WHICH INCLUDES EMERGENCY SUPPLIES), IN ACCORDANCE WITH 38 CFR PART 62. ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL SUPPORTIVE SERVICES MAY INCLUDE LEGAL ASSISTANCE AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES. GRANTEES WILL USE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES GRANT FUNDS TO PROVIDE SUPPORTIVE SERVICE.
